Where can average-sized women in their 30's buy clothes!?!?!

It was really hard to come up with a topic.  I used to think of stuff all the time before I decided to get a site and then...nothing for months....then I tried to go clothes shopping yesterday.  First, I waited until after work.  Looking back this was the beginning of the end. Then I went to the eye doctor on the way and was told that if I didn't want to start using prescription eye drops I had to start taking flax seed oil capsules and twice a day moisturizing drops.  Thanks for the PRK surgery that you won't give me service-connected care for Air Force.  So I went to CVS, picked this stuff up and handed the lady my CVS card.  She started at me stupidly for about 30 seconds then said, "Ma'am, this is Walgreens.  We don't have a card".  So I am starting my clothes shopping trip with tired, dry and itchy eyes, no make up, scrubs, grungy hair and intense embarrassment because of course, I couldn't think of a single thing to say to the Walgreens lady.  This is where I should have gone home.  Instead, I went to Kohl's because I have about 400% off from all the coupons and crap they send me and now they've got me believing I'll look like Jennifer Lopez if I shop there.  All I wanted was comfortable jeans that fit and are not too short and a couple of pretty tops that fit my moderate-sized dimensions.  I started out in the ladies department and found giant fake jewelry sewn into the blouses that exactly match my skin = wash out! and the huge shirts with giant flowers and the "jeans" with huge elastic bands inside the waist...I say waist loosely because these "jeans" started about 1/2 inch below my breasts.  PS...the "jeans" were all too short too.  So I decided to try the Junior department.  I shopped there in my 20's so I figured I could find something.  WRONG.  The tops looked like something I would not even buy to wear in the privacy of my own bedroom and when they say, "low rise", they actually mean no rise and jeggings??? WTH are those?  Why not just wear stirrup pants and be done with it.  I tried a pair on for fun and COULD NOT GET MY FOOT THROUGH THE HOLE.  Needless to say not even 400% off could tempt me to buy a single thing.

Any ladies out there with suggestions?
